Swiss Banknote Series Maximage
3D visualizations and animations created for the presentation of the 2026 New Swiss Banknote Series (2nd Prize) by Maximage.
The main goal of the animations was to showcase the material, holographic, reflective, and transparent qualities of the design.
Text by Maximage:
Our series reveals the richness and diversity of Switzerland through the lens of the ecosystem. Each landscape is understood as a living system in which organisms (biocoenosis) continuously interact with their physical environment (biotope). Through this perspective, Switzerland unfolds as a network of interconnected habitats.
The front side of each banknote features an emblematic animal and its environment, illustrating this living balance. The reverse side introduces a cartographic dimension. When the six notes are aligned, they assemble into a complete miniature atlas of the country.
This series celebrates Swiss nature and its landscapes while inviting reflection on our place within this vast living ecosystem.
